About Me

Hello there! If you’ve found this page it means that you are really interested in knowing what’s going on, huh? So, where to start?

My name is Chris, and I was born in Austria 20 something years ago. I use she/her or they/them as my pronouns.

I have two degrees in Literary and Cultural Studies as well as Social Theory and since I have always been creative and circumstances (the pandemic) have changed, I’ve decided that it is time to create a space where I can put my thoughts and ‘art’ (if you can call it that) as well as my intersectional, inclusive, feminist thoughts. Particularly, I am centering my feminist analysis around films and TV shows since that is the field that has been a focal point throughout my academic career and where I feel most equipped to say something about.

So, that’s bascially it. But, what else is there to say?

I guess, if you take anything from this page, it should be the following: try to do something creative once a week. It doesn’t matter if it’s a doodle on a piece of scrap paper, or a cool song sung in the shower or snapping a picture of something that inspired you recently.

I especially want to dare you to show your art to someone who you trust (if you can). Sharing creativity and allowing others to see a part of yourself that you might have not known yourself up until that point is truly a fascinating and beautiful experience.

And I wholeheartedly believe that right now, amongst so many other systematic changes and shifts, we also need more art, or more precisely, we need more artists out there, who are not afraid to express their humanity and creatively reimagine the world.

To sum all of this up, go make some art! :)
